Hello! My name is Tyler Wheeler and I am a creative-minded Software Engineer with a passion for the arts and entertainment. I use my creative background to provide quality products for all to enjoy.
I like to view my work as an extension of myself. All of these projects were created with passion and showcase my own interests and personality.
A React and Flask built application. This application features a third party API search function to search recipes by ingredients as well as a separate database built with sqlite for users to create and share their own recipes and save their searches while logged in.
A showcase application built with Express and a Mongo database that gives Luthiers from far and wide a place to come together and showcase the instruments they have built and to interact with one another.
A full MERN stack application built with a course from Academine where users can share pictures and locations of places they like to visit. The application features three custom React hooks, user authentication and authorization, and a Google Maps API. Photos that users upload for their profile picture as well as posts are stored in an AWS S3 bucket.
A React frontend and Flask backend with a SQL database. Users can share their favorite 90's nostalgia. Complete with user authentication, users have full CRUD access to all of their posts. The application also features a like button for users to interact with any post when signed in.
A two player, Javascript desktop game that pits players against one another in a race to the finish as their favorite condiment! Inspired by the Esskay Hotdog race at Camden Yards.
